Charlotte, NC onsite contract role offering $28.00–$32.00 per hour for 6 months . This Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter I position supports nuclear power engineering and related disciplines, combining full-cycle recruiting with daily employment office leadership and a strong customer service focus for both internal and external partners. What you’ll do You will lead day-to-day employment recruiting operations, from sourcing and screening through coordination, offers, and operational steps of the hire process. Responsibilities include managing requisitions and coordinating interviews to match project-specific needs and site requirements, while maintaining clear, responsive communication across stakeholders. Source, screen, and conduct preliminary interviews with potential candidates. Coordinate site interviews with the appropriate hiring manager to select qualified candidates for project-specific requirements. Make contingent employment offers in accordance with federal and state law. Manage assigned employment requisitions, including reviewing, editing, and completing final approvals for requisition submissions. Track and report staffing plan process data using computer software tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other databases. Assist with building and managing Employment Staffing Plans by entering employment and hiring requirement information. Build and update job descriptions based on project and scope of work. Coordinate and conduct re-deployment initiatives through proactive communication with employees prior to anticipated end dates. Complete operational and administrative hiring steps including background checks, drug screening, health screening, I-9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, employment paperwork, and site‑specific requirements. Serve as the point of contact for a portion of the employment process for internal partners at the job site, leading processing and/or recruiting efforts as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. What you bring 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including recent hiring of engineering professionals in the nuclear power industry . Direct recruiting experience for disciplines such as I&C, electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural engineering , with focus areas including plant modifications, design engineering, and system upgrades. Proven ability to evaluate candidates against nuclear‑specific requirements, including experience supporting design packages, field walkdowns, system ownership, and familiarity with NRC regulations and nuclear plant operations . Experience recruiting for digital controls, legacy system upgrades, and instrumentation/control systems strongly preferred. Experience supporting project‑based hiring where schedules, mobilization dates, site needs, and technical depth are critical. Proven ability to work independently as the sole engineering recruiter supporting business leaders and hiring managers. Strong sourcing skills with demonstrated success engaging passive candidates through multiple channels. High sense of urgency with strong follow‑up, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
