Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients, adhering to state standards and best practices in physical therapy.
• Evaluate each patient's mobility, strength, and functional abilities, establishing achievable short-term and long-term goals that are tailored to their specific conditions.
• Collaborate closely with patients to create customized treatment plans that may include exercises, manual therapy, and education on injury prevention.
• Implement these treatment plans consistently while adjusting techniques based on real-time patient progress and feedback.
• Document all patient interactions and progress meticulously according to facility policy and medical documentation standards.
• Engage in continuous learning by attending workshops and reviewing relevant healthcare literature, ensuring that knowledge remains current and comprehensive.
• Support fellow staff members in delivering quality care and maintaining an effective rehabilitation environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients of various ages, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your ability to interact with a wide range of patients and your empathetic approach will be vital in motivating them through their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED training.
• A strong foundation in orthopedic physical therapy practices, with at least two years of clinical experience.
• Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a motivational demeanor, encouraging patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

• Experience with advanced physical therapy techniques and technologies.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and a commitment to professional development.
• Previous experience working with a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
