Screw Machine Operator

We are looking for a skilled Screw Machine Operator to join our team for the 1st shift from 7 am to 3:15 pm. The role involves operating and adjusting screw machines, inspecting finished parts using basic measurement devices, and following written instructions to complete proper documentation.

Responsibilities

Operate and adjust screw machines efficiently.
Inspect finished parts using basic measurement devices.
Follow written instructions and complete proper documentation.
Operate multiple-spindle screw machines.
Check tolerances and use measurement tools.
Adjust cutting speeds as necessary.

Essential Skills

2 years of machine operating experience.
Ability to read tape measure accurately.
Experience with Davenport, Acme, or Hydromat machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in machine operation and general production.
Strong inspection skills using a tape measure.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a machine shop environment, which can be greasy and slippery due to the screw machines. Safety protocols are a priority to ensure a secure and productive workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Zeeland, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
