CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistThis role focuses on independently machining CNC mills and lathes in a clean, air-conditioned toolroom within a metal stamping manufacturing facility. Working primarily on mills while also handling lathes, programming directly at the machine using CAD/CAM software, and completing machining jobs from start to finish with tight tolerances. Will train on programming!Essential SkillsAt least 4 years of experience as a CNC machinist, with 46 years of general machine tool experience.Proven ability to machine and program CNC mills and lathes, with stronger proficiency on CNC mills.Ability to program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, or comparable tools.Capability to operate CNC machines from start to finish, including setup, tool changes, edits, programming, and running parts.Experience working with tight tolerances and precision machining requirements.Proficiency in machine tool applications, including selection of tooling, speeds, and feeds.Strong skills in using hand gauges, comparators, and other precision measuring instruments.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Ability to work independently and complete tasks unsupervised, especially on an off shift.Solid organization and communication skills to coordinate work and support manufacturing needs.Comfort working in a fast-paced automotive-related manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.Demonstrated commitment to following established processes and procedures.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Holland, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $59800.00 - $64584.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
