Staff Accountant

SANDOW is hiring a Staff Account that has direct experience with full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail-oriented. This is a key position on the Accounting team, reporting to the Director of Accounting, that offers the opportunity to take on new challenges and expand responsibilities; with the right attitude and initiative, this candidate will grow their career at SANDOW. SANDOW is a remote-first company; however, our corporate office is located in Boca Raton, FL, and the candidate should be able to work on-site from time to time Your responsibilities will include: Perform month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries for all accounts within the assigned brand(s). Perform reconciliations and detailed balance sheet and P&L account analysis to ensure the accounting records accurately reflect the company’s financial position and results in accordance with company policy and GAAP. Reconcile cash and bank accounts, and be responsible for reconciling Accounts Receivable and Deferred Revenue. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Work with the Finance team to ensure revenue and expense coding is applied correctly and consistently. Develop proficiency with all financial and billing systems related to the position. Assist with preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation during interim and year-end audits. Perform special projects as assigned. To be successful in this role, you must have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution. 2+ years of related, progressive accounting experience. Excellent verbal, written, and collaboration skills. Willingness to do hands‑on work at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
