Supervisory Responsibilities May oversee day-to-day operations of the Accounting Team and assist team members as needed. Essential Duties and Requirements Prepare routine journal entries. Prepare workpapers for some general ledger accounts. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances. Perform bank reconciliations. Reconcile cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other assigned accounts. Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Prepare account analyses and variance reports. Assist Accounts Payable team with vendor invoice review and coding. Support Accounts Receivable team with customer billing and cash application processes. Maintain the fixed asset ledger. Record additions, disposals, and depreciation. Prepare payroll-related journal entries. Reconcile payroll accounts. Assist with payroll tax and benefit reconciliations. Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits. Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel to perform daily tasks. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies. Provides assistance and support to other departments as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Working knowledge of GAAP. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information effectively. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Capable of regularly using good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while collaborating effectively with the accounting team. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines. Highly motivated to achieve results and meet goals. Team player with a willingness to do whatever is necessary for the betterment of the company. Ability to use discretion and integrity when handling confidential information. Education and Experience Criteria Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, required. 0-2 years of accounting experience, preferred. Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets and financial reports, including proficiency with MS Excel. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside an office environment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. Frequently communicate with internal and external clients in-person, and via telephone, email, and video conferencing.
