Staff AccountantConfidential Client | Fully OnsiteSalary: $70,000 - $75,000 DOEAbout the OpportunityOur client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting and finance team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a structured, deadline-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport daily accounting activities related to the general ledger, cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets.Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and supporting schedules.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.Maintain accurate and organized workpapers with supporting documentation.Review income and expense activity for proper classification and accuracy.Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment support.Support accounts receivable activities, billing, cash application, and related reconciliations.Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, additions, and disposals.Perform account analysis and investigate unusual variances or trends.Assist with financial reporting, account analyses, and reporting schedules.Support internal and external audit requests and prepare audit documentation.Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and gather required information.Participate in process improvement initiatives and documentation of accounting procedures.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting required.2 to 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public company environment.Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.Knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles.Experience with one or more accounting functions including AP, AR, cash management, fixed assets, or general ledger accounting.Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.Experience supporting audits and working within internal control environments preferred.ERP system experience required; experience with NetSuite or similar platforms is a plus.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Preferred QualificationsExposure to SOX compliance and public company accounting environments.Experience with multi-entity accounting.Experience with process improvements and accounting workflow enhancements.If you are looking to join a growing organization where you can expand your accounting knowledge and contribute to a collaborative finance team, we encourage you to apply.Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per yearSearch managed by: Nikki Caudill Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to applyRef: US_EN_27_814328_3136951
