They are responsible for working with our most complex prospects to design and develop unique solutions that enhance trust and safety in the hiring process. Solutions Engineers at Checkr are experienced problem solvers with a background in Solutions Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, Technical Account Management, and Client Consulting, and understand how technology delivers business value. You will be responsible for providing pre-sales support for our most valuable prospects and partners. What You'll Do: This isn't a traditional pre-sales role. You'll work consultatively with business leaders, design solutions to real-world challenges, and serve as a trusted expert on safe and fair hiring. As a Solutions Engineer, you will strategically partner with the Sales team to:Own the technical sale — Partner closely with Sales to navigate complex deals, from first discovery call to signed contract, ensuring prospects see Checkr's full valueEarn trust at every level — Meet with executives and operators alike, tailoring your message to each audience and building relationships that last beyond the sales cycleBring solutions to life — Design and deliver world-class product demos, POCs/pilots, solution architectures, and proposals that speak directly to prospect needsBe the expert in the room — Educate prospects on safe hiring best practices, answer technical and compliance questions, and position Checkr as the clear industry leaderShape the product — Distill customer feedback into actionable insights for our R&D teams, helping drive a roadmap that reflects what the market actually needsSpot the big picture — Identify trends across verticals and help keep Checkr ahead of the curveAmplify our story — Partner with Marketing on case studies, use cases, and events that showcase what's possible with CheckrWhat you bring:2–5 years in Solutions Engineering, Technical Sales, Customer Success, or a related SaaS roleHands-on experience with the full technical sales cycle — discovery, solution design, and proof-of-value executionStrong discovery and value-based selling skills, with the ability to craft a compelling demo narrativeComfort with RESTful APIs (or genuine eagerness to learn)A track record of working effectively across Sales, Product, and Marketing teamsThe ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment without dropping the ballOutstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsWillingness to travel up to 30% as neededAn A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.Pay Transparency DisclosureWe use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
