Business Process Consultant (Senior)

Multiyear contract with the State of FL - Must be willing to relocate to Tallahassee, FL

Hybrid Tallahassee: onsite frequently for meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with Department staff at various levels
• A minimum of ten (10) years of IT business/industry work experience
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in performing business analyses on projects
• A minimum of seven years of experience in developing requirements for IT projects
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Visio for creating the process model diagrams
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience translating business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working on Microsoft Power Platform or similar low-code/no-code platform development projects.
• Experience developing or improving processes that adhere to basic case management or issuance principles.
• Skills and experience in conducting meetings with individuals and groups of people to discuss business processes. The people involved may be at the manager level or end user level. People may be business-oriented or technical (IT) staff. The contractor will be expected to be the lead in all meetings and discussions related to their analysis.
• Experience with Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques is beneficial.

• Skills and experience conducting Cost Benefit Analyses
• Skills and experiences in business process re-engineering
• Skills and experiences in deriving business process and data requirements from the reading and analyzing of process and systems documentation.
• Skills and experiences in translating the information from meetings and written materials into process models and/or process flow models.
• Writing skills and experience to create a data dictionary. Experience in the use of Microsoft Word is required.
• Experiences in working with IT technical staff to determine the infrastructure components within which any potential solution or modification would need to be able to operate.

Educational qualifications meeting at least one of the following levels:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field;
• Equivalent work experience.
