Role Overview
Evaluate generative music AI outputs in Mandarin Chinese, applying professional music production and audio engineering judgment to assess lyrics, vocal generation, musicality, and production quality. You will rate and annotate AI-produced tracks, score training data quality, and provide detailed, taxonomy-driven annotations that support model improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Assess AI model outputs including lyrics, voice generation, and overall musical standards.
- Score the quality of musical training data used to train generative models.
- Rate AI-generated music samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, adherence to prompts, vocal quality, and production and mix quality, using audio-engineering terminology.
- Annotate songs in detail, including genre and sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal and instrumental characteristics, following a structured taxonomy.
- Write and evaluate lyrical music in Mandarin Chinese as required by the task.
- Follow written and spoken directions provided in English.
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer.
- Demonstrable understanding of musical performance, music theory, and lyrics.
- College degree in music that includes coursework or practice in performance, theory, and lyric writing.
- Past experience writing lyrical music in Mandarin Chinese.
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, including the ability to understand directions in English.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: hourly.
- Start date: Immediate.
- Duration: Up to 6 months.
- Commitment: Part-time, 10+ hours per week.
- 30 - 54 hourly.
