Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights or Night shifts available); variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; rotating shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks; 1:4-1:5 patient ratio

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity surgical oncology unit caring for both PCU and Med-Surg patients in a fast-paced environment
• 36-bed unit specializing in surgical oncology including breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and reconstructive plastics
• 16-week contract with 72 hours of orientation; Epic EMR system
• Procedures include chemotherapy administration, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin/heparin drips, and oncologic emergency management
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Floating within scope of practice may be required to other acute care oncology units

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of PCU experience (must be current within the last 12 months)
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and tracheostomy care
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
