Clinical Development Medical Director (MD required)

Pfizer seeks a Medical Director to oversee clinical trial design, execution, and safety monitoring across multiple studies. The role involves medical strategy development, regulatory engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure patient safety and data quality throughout the clinical development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee study safety through regular review of individual and cumulative safety data with risk leads
• Design clinical protocols and development strategies aligned with regulatory requirements and program objectives
• Conduct medical review and interpretation of efficacy and safety trial data with statisticians and writers
• Provide medical guidance to study teams, investigators, and site personnel on protocol compliance and patient safety
• Author clinical sections of regulatory documents including Investigator Brochure and clinical study reports

Requirements

• Medical degree (M.D., D.O., or equivalent)
• 4+ years of work experience in pharmaceutical industry
• Licensed to prescribe medicines independently for minimum 2 years post-internship
• Documented clinical research and registration activity experience
• Ability to critically evaluate medical and scientific information
• Understanding of clinical program design, development, and execution
