Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Acute Leukemia and Hematology – Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs; weekend coverage variable based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Acute leukemia and hematology specialty unit caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
• No chemotherapy certification required for this position
• Goal staffing ratio of 1:4 (may reach 1:5 based on census)
• Epic electronic medical record system
• 72-hour orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Competency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line management, and feeding tube care
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units
