Regional Dry Van Company Driver W2 - Jackson Heights, NY
Are you a CDL-A driver in search of an OTR position that offers weekly home time along with minimal physical demands? Join American Trucking Group, where we provide dry van routes across the Northeast featuring excellent equipment and competitive pay. Experience the joy of over-the-road driving while following a reliable schedule that ensures you get home every week.
Home Time:
- Return home every week for a 34-hour reset. Our OTR routes are designed to provide consistent miles while allowing you to maintain regular time with family and personal commitments.
Equipment:
- Drive modern International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth trucks outfitted with 1,500-watt inverters and Opti-Idle systems for your comfort. You can take your assigned truck and trailer home if safe parking is available.
No Touch Freight:
- Focus on primarily dry van freight with 95% no-touch and 85% drop and hook operations. Enjoy a role that requires minimal physical effort, allowing you to concentrate on driving and maximizing your efficiency.
Pay and Miles:
- Our drivers typically average around $1,150 weekly based on mileage and performance. Additional compensation includes detention pay according to customer policy, layover pay at $12 per hour after the first hour, and an annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for maintaining an accident-free record.
Running Area:
- Routes cover Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. All tolls are taken care of through EZ Pass and toll cards.
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance starts on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. We also offer $20,000 in company-paid life insurance, vacation pay, and a 401(k) with a 50% company match up to 3%. A passenger policy is available after 30 days with age restrictions.
