Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Providing crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents, ensuring they receive prompt and effective care.

• Educating patients and their families on mental health conditions, various treatment options, and available community resources, fostering a better understanding of mental health.

• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, thus ensuring quality compliance and reporting.

• Actively participating in team meetings and case consultations to discuss treatment options and improve patient outcomes.

• Staying informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately evaluate and address the needs of children and adolescents.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that consider each child's developmental stage and family dynamics.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to manage a variety of mental health concerns, utilizing modalities suitable for young individuals.

• Facilitating family therapy sessions to engage parents and caregivers in creating supportive environments that enhance the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents grappling with diverse mental health conditions. Through your expertise, you will guide these young individuals and their families towards healing and growth, addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. You will model compassionate care, ensuring patients feel heard, understood, and respected throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A Master's degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California; applicants with an associate license cannot be considered due to billing restrictions through Medicare.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to connect effectively with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• The ability to establish rapport and build trust, essential for facilitating productive therapeutic relationships.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and strong computer application skills for efficient documentation and patient management.
