Reference: Antal/EMCPGRUSA/97626 Job Title: Engagement Manager – CPG & Retail - USA Industry: Information Technology (IT) – AI, Data & Analytics Consulting / CPG & Retail Location: New York, NY Salary: USD 150,000–180,000 per annum per annum + Benefits Work Authorization: US Citizens and Green Card holders only; immigration sponsorship is not available The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Engagement Manager – CPG & Retail with a strong background in enterprise AI, Data & Analytics consulting and hands-on domain experience working with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and/or Retail organisations. This is a senior individual-contributor, client-facing role combining technical sales support, AI and analytics consulting, client advisory, solution shaping, executive stakeholder engagement, and pre-sales/delivery collaboration. The successful candidate will bring strong technical understanding across AI, data engineering, analytics and enterprise transformation, together with the commercial acumen and executive presence required to operate as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Client Advisory & Technical Sales Partner with sales and account leadership teams to drive strategic AI and analytics conversations with enterprise CPG and Retail clients. Lead discovery workshops, executive discussions and solutioning sessions. Translate business priorities into scalable AI, data and engineering solutions. Shape proposals, Statements of Work and strategic transformation roadmaps. Support major deal pursuits, RFP responses and client presentations. AI, Data & Analytics Consulting Advise clients across: Generative AI and LLM ecosystems Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics Data Engineering and Modern Data Platforms Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and GCP MLOps / AI Ops Enterprise Architecture and scalable AI deployment BI and visualisation Data Governance and Enterprise Data Strategy Provide practical guidance on operationalising AI and analytics solutions at enterprise scale. CPG & Retail Domain Solutions Apply hands-on CPG and/or Retail expertise across use cases including: Revenue Growth Management (RGM) Demand Forecasting Supply Chain Analytics Retail Execution Customer Analytics Marketing Effectiveness Pricing & Promotions Personalisation Trade Promotion Optimisation Executive Stakeholder Management Build credibility with CIOs, CDOs, CTOs and senior Data, Analytics, Digital and Business leaders. Act as a trusted strategic advisor during complex client engagements. Independently lead senior-level client conversations. Navigate complex, cross-functional enterprise environments with confidence and strong executive presence. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with consulting, engineering, data science and delivery teams. Bridge business strategy with technical execution. Collaborate across pre-sales, solution design and delivery activities. Mentor junior colleagues where appropriate during client pursuits and advisory engagements. Candidate Profile Essential Experience 10+ years' experience in enterprise AI/Data consulting, technical pre-sales, analytics consulting, solution architecture or client-facing engineering leadership. Hands-on practitioner experience within the CPG and/or Retail domain is essential. Direct experience serving enterprise CPG and/or Retail clients. Proven experience leading discovery workshops, executive discussions and solutioning sessions. Experience supporting RFP responses and shaping proposals, Statements of Work and transformation roadmaps. Demonstrated credibility with CIO, CDO, CTO, Data & Analytics, Digital and senior business leadership. Ability to independently lead sophisticated client conversations and operate effectively in ambiguous environments. Technical Expertise Strong working knowledge across: Generative AI and Large Language Models Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics Data Engineering and Modern Data Platforms AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform MLOps / AI Ops Enterprise Architecture Scalable AI deployment BI and Visualisation Data Governance Enterprise Data Strategy Consulting & Communication Skills Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills. Strong storytelling and business translation capabilities. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. Strong commercial acumen and solution-oriented mindset. Confidence operating independently in senior client environments. Ability to communicate effectively with executives, technical specialists and engineering teams. Comfortable working in fast-paced and ambiguous environments. Preferred Background Experience working with Fortune 500 or similarly complex multinational clients. Background within leading consulting, enterprise AI, analytics, cloud or digital-transformation organisations. Existing relationships within CPG and/or Retail ecosystems. Experience supporting major enterprise transformation pursuits. Strong understanding of enterprise operating models and digital transformation.
