Role Overview :
Brilliant Financial Staffing has partnered with a client in Aurora, IL to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position will be hired on a contract-to-hire basis, offering the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
The ideal candidate will have full-cycle accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables. If you're looking to join a collaborative team with long-term growth potential, we encourage you to apply today.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process from invoice receipt through payment.
- Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Audit purchase orders and investigate discrepancies to resolve billing issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Process approximately 50 invoices per week.
- Set up ACH payments for management approval.
- Generate, review, and monitor accounts payable aging reports.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure timely payment processing.
Qualifications :
- Previous accounts payable experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, required.
- Ability to work a 7:00 AM start time required.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
