Work Environment

The PNP will work onsite at a local school in Houston, Texas, directly engaging with students and families. Our clinic operates within a supportive team environment where collaboration is valued. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose patients' mental health conditions.
• Manage medication regimens, ensuring efficacy and safety through regular follow-ups and adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate seamlessly with primary care providers, educators, and other team members to create integrated care plans that address both physical and mental health needs.
• Deliver crisis intervention and emotional support during acute episodes, ensuring timely and effective responses to student needs.
• Engage in community outreach activities, promoting mental health awareness and education in schools and local organizations.
• Provide therapeutic support through individual counseling and psychoeducation to empower patients with coping strategies.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accuracy and privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PNP, you will work with a diverse patient population, addressing various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric focus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
