Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions as well as group therapy sessions in our outpatient center, fostering a safe space for children to express themselves openly.

• Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to improve anger management, coping strategies, and social skills among clients, actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.
\n
• Assist youth and caretakers in enhancing their decision-making skills to better manage behavioral challenges within the home setting.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, sharing insights and recommendations for comprehensive care plans.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment progress, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing recommendations based on your observations to enhance service delivery.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children aged 3 to 20 who are facing developmental disabilities and associated challenges. You will engage directly with youth who require tailored support, including those exhibiting high-risk behavior patterns. Working closely with their primary caregivers, you will play a pivotal role in setting therapeutic goals and measuring progress towards enhanced emotional and behavioral health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is necessary to provide therapeutic services.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically between 4 PM and 7 PM, with weekend flexibility considered a bonus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with providing positive behavioral support and implementing strategies tailored to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly preferred.

• Previous experience working directly with children in the age range of 3 to 20, particularly those with I/DD, is advantageous.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are required to travel for in-home therapy sessions.

• Ability to pass a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting, ensuring the utmost safety for our clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n
