Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental and emotional well-being through active listening and evaluation techniques.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to address clients’ specific needs, issues, and goals.

• Facilitate therapy sessions with individuals of various age groups—including adolescents, adults, and couples—providing targeted strategies for diverse mental health challenges.

• Guide couples through therapeutic sessions aimed at improving communication, conflict resolution, and relationship enhancement.

• Maintain meticulous client records, ensuring all documentation accurately reflects progress notes, treatment plans, and any modifications thereof.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress, enhancing their safety and immediate emotional needs.

• Remain updated on current evidence-based practices, ongoing research, and advancements in the field of marriage and family therapy through regular training opportunities.

• Promote self-care practices not only for clients but also for yourself, to maintain resilience and avoid burnout.

• Deliver therapy services using secure remote platforms, ensuring a confidential and supportive virtual environment for all clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our Counseling Center primarily serves individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other significant life challenges. We focus on delivering culturally sensitive and personalized care, understanding the unique needs of our clients and empowering them to engage actively in their treatment process.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field.

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is mandatory.

• Proven experience in providing individual and/or couples therapy, showcasing effective therapeutic techniques.

• Strong foundational experience in working with both children and adults, understanding their unique therapeutic needs.

• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years’ experience is required, candidates with additional experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and systemic family therapy will be highly regarded. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) can enhance your candidacy.
