Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse - Trauma, Ortho, Surgical
• Location: Phoenix, Arizona
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) American Heart Association; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in trauma or related acute care settings, with at least 2 years of Telemetry (Tele) experience
• Required Qualifications: Active nursing license; at least 2 years of trauma/surgical experience; BLS and ACLS certifications; comfortable working 12-hour night shifts; willing to wait for license submission
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in transplant or complex surgical post-operative care, familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Additional Information: This position involves working in a high-acuity trauma and surgical unit with large transplant and Whipple procedures, with a focus on post-operative care and trauma patient management. The unit requires working in a team-oriented environment, with orientation covering unit-specific protocols and procedures.
• Float: First to float; float rotation may be required for Tele floors or other units as needed
• Common Diagnosis / Types of Patients: Transplant post-op day 1, Whipple procedures, spine surgeries, orthopedic joints, trauma cases
• Rotation Details: Work in to permanent staff rotation, including weekend and holiday shifts as per unit coverage
• Charting System: Cerner
• Shift Notes: 12-hour night shifts, 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period, holidays included in rotation
• Floor Specific Orientation: 2 shifts on unit-specific procedures and protocols
• Additional Notes: The position involves managing a high volume of transplant and complex surgical patients, requiring competent clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
