Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will be responsible for a range of therapeutic duties, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mental health symptoms presented by clients.

• Developing personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to each client's unique goals and preferences.

• Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their therapeutic journey.

• Monitoring client progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and growth.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to coordinate integrated care for complex cases.

• Staying informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments to continuously improve therapeutic interventions.

• Adhering to ethical and legal guidelines by maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment outcomes.

• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives to bolster clinical skills.

• Advocating for clients’ mental health needs and challenging stigma associated with mental illnesses to foster a supportive atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves veterans and their families, many of whom experience challenges related to transition, trauma, and relationship dynamics. The therapist will focus on divorce and relationship counseling, addressing the unique needs of individuals navigating these complex circumstances. A compassionate and culturally competent approach is essential to build trust and rapport with clients who may be dealing with sensitive issues related to their military service.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
