Desktop Support Technician

Job Title: Desktop Support Technician Department: Information Technology

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Setup and support hardware such as computers, scanners, printers, and peripherals. Install and upgrade software as directed. Configure, support and perform routine maintenance of hardware and software for desktops equipment. Diagnose problems through troubleshooting skills, research, and isolation steps using automated systems. Support, test, and evaluate new software and/or hardware releases. Record all client inquiries, from initial request to incident resolution. Maintain records of hardware, software and network inventory. Perform employee and/or client training on desktop products. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong technical problem-solving skills. Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision Detailed oriented with follow-through Ability to multi-task Excellent customer service skills Good verbal and written communication skills ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This position may also include any specialized tasks such as monitoring the support tickets, helping with pre-production tasks and completing special projects as needed. May require the performance of other essential functions depending on project. Must have reliable transportation for periodic driving to work locations and client sites.
