Staff Accountant

Job Overview The Staff Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close. This role reports to the Accounting Manager or Controller and plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities Perform balance sheet, bank, and general ledger account reconciliations Assist with AP, AR, and payroll-related entries as needed Support preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements Analyze financial data and research variances or discrepancies Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records Assist with audit requests, tax filings, and internal controls Perform other accounting duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-3 years of general accounting experience Working knowledge of GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
