Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week. Includes weekdays and some weekends/holidays. Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Float responsibility required to units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Highlights:

• Float Pool position providing flexibility across medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• EPIC electronic health records system utilized facility-wide
• 24-hour orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding
• Caring for adult and geriatric populations with diverse medical-surgical diagnoses
• Two pre-approved time-off periods available during assignment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring essential
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skills preferred: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, non-invasive airway management, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury care, total joint replacement care, tracheostomy management, traumatic brain injury care
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal leadership)
