Job Description

Serves as the primary customer-facing representative for hydraulic hose assembly, fittings, and related fluid power products. Provides technical assistance, processes orders, and fabricates hose assemblies to meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet walk-in customers and identify their hydraulic hose and fitting needs

• Provide technical guidance on hose selection, pressure ratings, end fittings, and compatibility

• Process counter sales, quotes, and purchase orders accurately

• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, OEM accounts, and equipment dealers

Technical & Fabrication

• Measure, cut, and crimp hydraulic hose assemblies to customer specifications

• Identify and cross-reference fittings by thread type

• Read and interpret equipment schematics or worn/damaged samples to replicate assemblies

• Ensure assemblies meet pressure, temperature, and application requirements

Inventory & Operations

• Maintain counter stock levels and flag reorder needs

• Keep work area clean and organized per safety standards

• Accurately label and track completed assemblies

• Assist with receiving, stocking, and cycle counts

Qualifications

• Experience in hydraulics, fluid power, or industrial distribution preferred

• Ability to identify fittings and hose types by sight and spec

• Basic mechanical aptitude; crimping machine operation a plus

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Comfortable using a POS/inventory system

Work Environment

Counter/shop setting. May involve lifting hose reels and components up to 50 lbs. PPE required in fabrication areas.
