Administrative Assistant II (Corporate Operations)

Our leadership team is an exceptional group of Government contracting professionals. gTANGIBLE is in the process of identifying candidates for the following position: Requisition Type: Contingent Position Status: Full-time Position Title: Administrative Assistant II (Corporate Operations) Location: Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA Security Clearance: Secret Duties and Responsibilities Provide clerical support by providing correspondence preparation, developing Excel spreadsheets, and performing file creation and recordkeeping duties, compose and maintain various types of correspondence such as phone messages, emails, fax, and letters. Provide research and communicate with various entities in and outside MARMC, notify appropriate entities per reporting requirements; draft and prepare documents, reports, and forms for signature pertaining to Military Legal. Screen and direct telephone calls, visitors, and incoming correspondence to appropriate personnel. Interface with visitors, conduct record checks for signatures required of Military Legal, and answer questions pertaining to services provided. Identify and escalate workflow issues and provide administrative support to work directors and compile daily production statics and other reports. Manage databases by selecting the guidelines or references that fit the specific case. Establish and/or maintain soft and hard copy of various office documentation, research information, and operate modern office equipment and software. Prepare special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, and other offices. Research requested administrative issues or problems and relay findings to military personnel and management. Utilize current task specific software programs. Knowledge and Qualifications Associate's degree in a related field. Three (3) years applicable job-related experience performing Military Administrative duties in a military legal professional office setting. Must be familiar with the current DOD/Navy directives in regard to Military Legal correspondence. Must be proficient in Naval correspondence. Experience in creation of documents in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, and web-based platforms (SharePoint). Be familiar with the Military Personnel Manual, JAGMAN, and Uniform Code of Military Justice to obtain information to complete tasking. United States Citizen Active Secret Clearance. Physical requirements for efficient navigation aboard US Navy ships Contractors under the Production Department (C900) must possess the physical stamina to walk continuously for extended periods of time without experiencing significant fatigue. This includes traversing across inclined or uneven surfaces, through/into crowded/confined areas/spaces, up and down ladders/stairs, and in areas of varying environmental qualities. Contractors under the Production Department (C900) must possess adequate upper and lower-body strength necessary to climb ladders, stairs, and ramps. The contractor should possess the physical strength, agility, endurance, and mental constitution required to work aloft (as required). This may require the contractor perform work over the side of a ship's hull, on the mast, or in areas on the superstructure and at a height that requires the use of a safety harness. This upper and lower body strength and endurance should also be sufficient for the contractor to hand-carry necessary tools, parts, materials, and equipment through narrow passageways, up and down ladders, and into/out of confined spaces.
