Step into a vital role supporting students with moderate to high-intensity behavioral and learning needs in K-12 special education classrooms throughout the Bucks County region. As a pool paraprofessional, you'll provide hands-on assistance wherever backfills are necessary—meaning your assignment location may change based on current needs. This opportunity is ideal for compassionate, adaptable professionals who want to make a meaningful impact every single day.

Key Qualifications:

• At least one full year’s experience as a paraprofessional in a school special education setting (PreK-12), working directly with children with severe autism and challenging behaviors—this must be clearly detailed on your resume.
• Experience with MDS, ADL, AS3, and safety interventions.
• Comfortable supporting students one-on-one, including assistance with toileting, diapering, feeding, transfers, and other daily living tasks.
• Proven ability to implement safety interventions in highly structured behavioral environments.
• Must reside within 35 minutes of the Bucks County area and have reliable transportation to various schools.
• Flexibility to work full-time, Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week, between 6:45 AM and 4:01 PM.
• Must attend a mandatory weeklong orientation before starting; clearances must be fully approved in advance.
• Possess (or be willing to obtain within 60 days) PA’s paraprofessional qualification, such as 48 college credits, an associate degree/higher, or successful completion of the state certification modules.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and emotional support for students with moderate to intense needs.
• Consistently implement safety plans, de-escalation strategies, and support self-regulation or self-injurious behaviors as needed.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and specialists, communicating effectively about student progress and concerns.
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment.
