Become a crucial support for students with intensive needs in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, contract role offers an opportunity to work with high-intensity, severe needs autism support classrooms at either the high school or elementary (K-8) level, based on current openings. Your day will be structured and purposeful—helping students succeed in a highly supportive environment, alongside a collaborative team of educators and specialists.

Key Qualifications

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school special education classroom (PreK–12) with students who have severe autism and behavioral challenges—clearly documented in your resume.
• Comfortable performing hands-on support, including assisting with toileting, diapering, feeding, and transfers.
• Strong commitment to safety intervention and behavior management within a structured environment.
• Ability to remain active and engaged throughout the school day, supporting students who may exhibit aggressive or self-injurious behaviors.
• Reside within a 35-minute commute of the area.
• Available to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and to attend a mandatory full week of orientation before starting.
• Meet at least one of Pennsylvania's paraprofessional qualification requirements (or able to complete state certification within 60 days of start).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direct classroom support to students with severe autism, following IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to deliver continuous, individualized care.
• Implement behavioral and safety interventions as needed.
• Maintain clear documentation and communication on student progress and incidents.
