Marketing Assistant Department: Office of Community Engagement Student Employment Type: Federal Work-Study Responsibilities Support the Cheshire Community YMCA’s marketing to promote program areas, special events, annual campaign and capital campaign efforts. Interact with volunteers, members, and community partners/businesses when needed to create marketing materials Assist in the development of Cheshire Community YMCA’s advertising, marketing, and promotional materials for Special Events, Annual Campaigns, and Capital Campaigns Support distribution of marketing, promotional materials both in the community and via social media/email communications, including press releases, etc. Learn and keep up to date on Y branding and compliance related to communications Incorporate Y branding into all community development communications and messaging strategies for the association Qualifications Knowledge/experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred: web design, Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro preferred, Canva and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge/proficiency in social media platforms with excellent computer, oral, written and problem-solving skills Work well independently while handling multiple projects and concepts simultaneously Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, Y members and volunteers Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Hours of Position Student will be expected to work up to 6-8 hours per week between the hours of 9am – 4pm Monday through Friday.
