Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and clinical assessments to gather comprehensive client histories.

• Document all client interactions meticulously from the initial consultation through discharge, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal standards.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that are aligned with clinical guidelines and the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based interventions to facilitate dialogue and healing.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create well-rounded intervention plans.

• Manage referrals to relevant resources and support systems, ensuring clients have access to the holistic care they require.

• Support families in understanding and navigating the mental health challenges of their loved ones, offering guidance through psychoeducation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and addiction. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong foundation in therapeutic practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to streamline documentation and client management.

• Experience addressing both physical and emotional health challenges as well as substance use disorders.

• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and a thorough understanding of psychotropic medications.

• Exemplary communication skills, both written and oral, and a demonstrated ability to foster rapport with clients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, alongside a sign-on bonus.
