Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' trauma histories.

• Crafting and executing individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Engaging in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for clients.

• Offering crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and providing educational resources for patients and their families.

• Maintaining meticulous documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in team consultations and professional development activities focused on the latest trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus primarily on individuals affected by trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will engage with patients from diverse backgrounds, each presenting unique experiences and challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of trauma responses and a commitment to fostering resilience and healing in clients navigating their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in Maryland.

Compensation and Benefits\n
