JOADEM services meet all present and future needs of the Architectural/Engineering, Construction Manager, General Contractor, and Property Owner Communities Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in West Hempstead, NY. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in construction inspections and quality control services, building and maintaining client relationships, and expanding JOADEM’s presence in the NYC Metro Area. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing proposals and bids, coordinating presentations, and negotiating contracts in collaboration with technical and management teams. The Business Development Manager will analyze market trends, monitor competitor activity, and work with leadership to develop strategic growth plans. The role also involves maintaining accurate sales pipelines, reporting on performance metrics, and representing the company at industry events, client meetings, and networking activities. Qualifications Knowledge of construction, special inspections, and quality control/assurance services, with the ability to understand technical scopes of work. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Experience working with public and private sector clients, preferably in the NYC Metro Area or similar markets. Proficiency with basic and standard office applications. Ability to travel to client locations as needed, and collaborate as needed Prior experience in minority- or disadvantaged-business environments, and understanding of MBE/DBE procurement processes, is a plus.
