Accounting Manager

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for a commercial real estate organization in Beverly Hills, California. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to oversee a high-performing team in an on-site environment. The Accounting Manager will play a central role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing close processes, and supporting business leadership with timely financial insights.Responsibilities:• Direct day-to-day property accounting activities and provide leadership to staff responsible for core financial operations.• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and ensure reporting is completed in accordance with applicable standards and company timelines.• Manage the month-end close process, coordinating reconciliations, journal entries, and review procedures to support timely completion.• Monitor general ledger activity and maintain strong internal controls across accounting functions.• Partner with leadership to analyze financial results, explain variances, and support operational and strategic decision-making.• Supervise audit preparation and serve as a key point of contact for external accountants and other financial stakeholders.• Review cash flow activity, budgeting inputs, and financial performance to help maintain the organization’s fiscal health.• Support accounting process improvements and guide the team through changes to reporting procedures or financial systems when needed.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• CPA designation is required with public audit strongly preferred• At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.• Prior experience in commercial real estate accounting is required.• Demonstrated background in preparing financial statements and managing full month-end close activities.• Proven ability to supervise accounting staff and review work for accuracy and completeness.• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting best practicesFOR CONFIDENTIAL CONSIDERATION please apply to this posting.
