Full-Time Nurse Practitioner - Assisted Living Facility

Fairweather Health Care LLC is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team at an assisted living facility in Missouri City, Texas. In this role, you will be pivotal in diagnosing and treating various health conditions while promoting wellness practices among residents. As an advanced practice registered nurse, your expertise will directly contribute to ensuring optimal patient care in a supportive community setting.

Work Environment

As a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner at our assisted living facility, you will work onsite in a collaborative environment alongside a multidisciplinary team, including 5 medical doctors (MDs) and 5 nurse practitioners (NPs). This engaging setting allows for constant interaction with both your colleagues and the residents, focusing on delivering comprehensive care. Operating within an emphasis on teamwork and communication, you will provide effective solutions to health challenges faced by our residents, all while working 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patients’ medical history to inform diagnosis.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests—including blood tests and imaging studies—to assess health conditions accurately.
• Diagnose illnesses and develop comprehensive treatment plans for chronic and acute health issues.
• Prescribe medications while monitoring patient responses to treatments.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient encounters, treatments administered, and follow-up schedules.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
• Promote good health practices by leading wellness programs and community health events.
• Engage in research and professional discourse to continuously advance personal clinical expertise and contribute to the healthcare team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on the elderly resident population of the assisted living facility, managing a range of health issues common in this demographic such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, respiratory diseases, and mobility challenges. By providing specialized care, you will play a critical role in enhancing their health outcomes and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid state Nurse Practitioner license.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner (ANP/FNP) is required.
• A DEA number is a prerequisite for this role.
• Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for effective communication with residents and their families.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with proven experience in healthcare settings such as clinics, hospitals, or urgent care facilities. Candidates with backgrounds in internal medicine, cardiology, acute care, or family health will be especially valued. A collaborative spirit, patience, and the ability to solve problems efficiently are essential traits for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges between USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
