Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Sugar Land, Texas, where you will work a structured schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts ending at 5:00 PM. You will be closely collaborating with a team of five medical doctors and five other nurse practitioners, providing a collegial and positive working environment. The clinic's layout encourages teamwork and open communication, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assess patients’ health records to inform diagnoses.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and X-rays, to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions and develop individualized treatment protocols accordingly.
• Propose and implement treatments for infectious diseases while closely monitoring patient progress.
• Prescribe medications and ensure patients are knowledgeable about their treatment plans and any prescribed medications.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, documenting care delivered and patient interactions.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, preventive measures, and general wellness strategies.
• Oversee patients' overall health, proactively addressing any concerns or changes in condition.
• Promote healthy living practices within the community through outreach and educational initiatives.
• Advance your professional knowledge by engaging in research opportunities and participating in ongoing training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse pediatric population, ranging from infants to adolescents, within an urgent care environment. This role demands a deep understanding of children’s unique health needs and the ability to communicate effectively with both young patients and their families. You'll play a crucial role in alleviating concerns and educating families on preventive health practices, adding significant value to the community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner.
• Active and valid State Nurse Practitioner license.
• Current DEA designation.
• ANP/FNP certification is required.
• Proficiency in Spanish is essential for effective communication with our patient population.
• Demonstrated experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical, hospital, or urgent care setting.
• Expertise in both primary care and acute care practices.
• Thorough knowledge of health care regulations and standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with colleagues, patients, and their families.
• Strong ethical standards and a commitment to quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pediatric care and familiarity with urgent care protocols.
• Prior roles requiring teamwork and collaboration in multi-disciplinary settings.
• Proven skills in patient education and community health promotion.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time Nurse Practitioner position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
