Account Manager - New Business Development

Account Manager - New Business Development (Open) Location Jacksonville, FL Overview The Outside Sales Account Manager / New Business Development Representative will manage the sales process and advance profitable sales growth within an assigned market area for both existing and new Airgas customers. The role focuses on building and nurturing customer relationships, providing solutions, and driving sales through consultative engagement. Responsibilities Develop and implement sales plans utilizing Airgas' sales initiatives and guidelines to service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts. Qualify and connect with sales leads, nurture customer relationships by developing a thorough understanding of the customer's business and establishing a consultative relationship. Prepare sales proposals by quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and estimating delivery dates based on production, delivery schedules, and logistics. Keep current with industry insights, Airgas product mixes, and market trends by gathering marketplace intelligence on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques. Collaborate with internal resources to accomplish success milestones and maintain clear communication with internal departments regarding customer successes, opportunities, and developments. Maintain and submit sales reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly & annual territory analyses, as requested by District Manager through SAP. Actively review and manage existing customer accounts receivable balances to support financial risk reduction and protect Airgas working capital. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and minimum liability insurance as required by state vehicle registration. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years in outside business-to-business sales, including effectiveness in solution-selling concepts and experience supporting customers within an assigned community. Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, or background in industrial gas / welding supply sales. Benefits Competitive base pay plus commission.
