CHIEF Engineer

Chief EngineerServe as an engineering leader at JLLTransform engineering at JLL with your leadership and experienceThe Chief Engineer oversees the efficient, safe and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment while also leading the engineering team. The Chief Engineer is responsible for protecting and improving the value of the client's assets and will be expected to provide recommendations for operational and capital improvements.ResponsibilitiesOversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including: fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, primary switch gear), lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments, light construction (painting, doors, relites, locks), digital systems (fire alarm, duress, card access), and Audio/Visual services.Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, coaching and personal developmentIdentify maintenance objectives of the facility and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance proceduresIdentify safety hazards within the building and incorporate the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building's staff and occupants work in a safe environment. Implement, administer, and manage safety training programCommunicate daily with client, General Manager and property team to…Manage compliance with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate themAssist in the development of a capital improvement plan, including infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements and building modificationsServe on the Special Operations leadership team advisory committee to help develop elements of the engineering operations product and ensure compliance with the firm's internal policies and proceduresSelect, schedule, supervise and direct contractors; monitor and document performance.Respond effectively to all emergencies and service callsLead and organize ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programsMaintain a clean and safe work environment and maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or LawsOther projects and tasks to be assignedPreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid state driver's license7+ years of related experience, especially as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer or similar2+ years of experience managing an engineering/maintenance teamTrade school education, union training, military service or college is desirableUniversal CFC EPA certificationOperating Engineer license or similar (as applicable by state regulations)Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems (BAS)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsComfort using ladders up to 30 feet tallAbility to frequently climb, bend, kneeling, lift and/or driveStrong customer service and communication skillsEstimated compensation for this position:110,000.00 – 150,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
