About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement to serve as the executive officer and provide overall leadership for the division. The successful candidate will act as the Chief Philanthropy Officer, leading all development initiatives and overseeing the execution of strategic fundraising campaigns. This role involves working closely with the President on donor cultivation and stewardship, as well as leading the development of university policy for managing and reporting philanthropic activity. The Vice President will also be responsible for alumni engagement, developing communication strategies, and managing a growth campaign in alumni involvement and giving. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in advancement, including at least five years in fundraising for a large, complex organization. The role requires a deep knowledge of donor relations management, campaign planning, and the ability to influence and inspire high-net-worth individuals to support the institution. The Vice President will be expected to provide strategic direction for fundraising events, oversee the university's relationships with national and regional foundations, and work in partnership with the Foundation staff and Board of Directors. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to stay current with changes in laws and regulations related to giving.
