Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will respond to security‑related concerns, document activity, and work as part of a reliable, agile team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Monday 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM, Thursday 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM. What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, public officials, and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security‑related concerns. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document observations, incidents, and/or policy‑related issues in accordance with site expectations. Support public‑facing operations by assisting with directions, maintaining a professional presence, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity through appropriate channels. Minimum Requirements Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience. Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Be at least 21 years of age. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
