Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews with clients, meticulously documenting their mental health journey from the initial assessment through to treatment completion.
\n
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health during therapy sessions, employing a variety of assessment techniques.
\n
• Develop comprehensive and individualized intervention and recovery plans for clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, based on thorough assessments.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques and approaches.
\n
• Continuously monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate harmoniously with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to enhance service delivery.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who require hospitalization or coordinated care.
\n
• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder client recovery, providing support and interventions to overcome these challenges.

• Support family members and primary caregivers by offering guidance on managing mental and behavioral challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on supporting a diverse client population grappling with various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and relationship issues. We recognize the unique challenges faced by each individual, couple, or family and tailor our therapeutic approaches accordingly to enhance their mental health and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor in various therapeutic settings.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR or similar platforms for documenting client interactions and progress.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients facing physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical specialists and their effects on mental health.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and documentation.

• Strong interpersonal skills paired with a sympathetic and empathetic nature that fosters trust and openness with clients.
