Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Rothman Therapeutics, you will:

• Direct patient therapy to alleviate pain, restore muscle function, improve flexibility, and enhance overall physical performance based on individualized care plans.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in executing care plans, ensuring high standards of patient treatment throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Evaluate patients' physical functionality through comprehensive assessments, utilizing diagnostic tests that measure muscle, nerve, joint, and overall physical capabilities.
• Assess patients' home environments to make recommendations that optimize rehabilitation efforts and improve independence.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services in a compassionate and effective manner, including administering manual therapeutic exercises and instructing clients on self-care techniques.
• Facilitate the fitting and adjustment of prosthetics and orthotics, collaborating with physicians to recommend modifications as necessary.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute insights and recommendations regarding total patient treatment strategies.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding therapy techniques and the use of physical therapy tools.
• Stay accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants to provide guidance and support during treatment sessions.
• Complete administrative duties promptly, including submitting documentation in accordance with company policy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients who require rehabilitation services. This includes individuals recovering from surgical procedures, those managing chronic conditions affecting mobility, and patients seeking recovery from injuries. Our client-centric approach is built around understanding each patient's unique needs and delivering care that aligns with their specific therapy goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey with no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in a variety of manual therapy techniques and exercise programs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, for precise documentation.
• Strong knowledge and application of evidence-based physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient clinic setting.
• Ability to foster relationships with patients and families to enhance their rehabilitation experience.
• Continuous education and training in the latest physical therapy modalities would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
