Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring Neuro/PCU experience and OH or compact RN licensure. Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of PCU-level experience with Neuro patients required Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and heparin protocols Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, and peripheral line care Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or Supervisor and the second from a Charge RN or higher; no coworker references accepted Responsibilities PCU/Neuro Stepdown/IMC unit setting Neurological and cardiac patient population including CVA, craniotomy, intracranial bleeds, TBI, and post-TPA care Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays Floating required within OSU system EPIC EMR experience required Provide direct nursing care to neuro and cardiac stepdown patients, including pre/post neurosurgery and craniotomy care Manage isolation precautions/PPE and respiratory support including nasal cannula and oxygen administration Complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract, as this is time-sensitive First-time travelers are welcome to apply, though candidates with only 1 year of experience may require additional manager review Former employees eligible for assignment after 6 months away from the facility Current OSU hospital employees are not eligible for traveler positions Local candidates accepted at the same rate RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-739201 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
