Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMHC at Northfield Psychiatric Services, your primary tasks will include:

• Managing a caseload of clients, establishing trusting relationships while upholding professional ethics and boundaries.
\n
• Conducting regular meetings with clients to discuss their progress, stability, and future appointments, including discharge planning when appropriate.
\n
• Creating, implementing, and reviewing personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
\n
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation and progress notes within our electronic health record system.
\n
• Conducting initial intake assessments to evaluate client needs and treatment goals.
\n
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions, ensuring clients feel safe and supported in their therapeutic journey.
\n
• Participating in supervision sessions to enhance your skills and receive constructive feedback on your practice.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range in age and include individuals facing various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex psychiatric disorders. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
\n
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.
\n
• The ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in our clinical settings.
\n
• A minimum of one year of direct experience working with psychiatric clients and/or substance use populations.
\n
• Experience in conducting assessments, diagnoses, as well as providing individual and group therapy.
\n
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic health record systems.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience with evidence-based therapeutic practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing will be beneficial. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote service delivery is a plus as well.
