Requisition #:671189 Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, MD 21224 Category: Nursing Support/Patient Care Schedule: Rotating Shift Employment Type: Full Time Shift Night Responsibilities Assist the patient with changing/dressing Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair (this is a large part of the job) Identify abnormal findings that could adversely affect surgical and patient outcomes, including abnormal vital signs, Accucheck results, lab, EKG, and CXR results Report all abnormal findings to the appropriate nursing staff Escort patients to holding rooms Assist with patient changing, and removal of belongings such as jewelry, dentures, contact lenses, etc. Verify patient information Orient patients and families to the environment Obtain vital signs Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Provides basic clinical skills required to safely perform routine delegated patient care activities, and to record and report pertinent clinical data; knowledge and use of specialized patient care equipment Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification BLS certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network Work Experience One year of clinical experience is required or successful completion of the intern program Benefits Life and Disability Insurance Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Employee tuition reimbursement Dependent tuition reimbursement Daycare On-campus gym Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
