Compensation: $75,000 - $130,000/year

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join their growing sales team in Metro Detroit. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing high-value client relationships, driving new business acquisition, and creating strategic advertising solutions that help clients achieve measurable marketing results. The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with a strong local network, proven media sales experience, and a track record of closing complex deals.

Responsibilities

• Own, manage, and grow a portfolio of local, regional, and agency accounts
• Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities independently
• Lead negotiations, proposals, contract renewals, and account expansions
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
• Conduct client needs assessments and develop customized advertising strategies
• Partner with internal creative and operations teams to execute high-performing campaigns
• Analyze campaign performance data and present results to clients to drive renewals and upsell opportunities
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity records within the CRM
• Provide mentorship and support to junior account executives when needed
• Manage account issues, billing inquiries, and campaign deployments with professionalism and urgency

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of media sales experience
• Proven ability to source, negotiate, and close new business opportunities
• Established network of client and agency relationships within Metro Detroit strongly preferred
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Experience presenting campaign data, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client needs and build tailored advertising solutions
• Experience utilizing CRM platforms as part of daily sales activities
• Familiarity with Metro Detroit, including Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Jackson, and Livingston counties
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a working knowledge of advertising operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Experience managing complex advertising campaigns and multi-channel marketing solutions
• Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior sales professionals
