Lead Software Engineer - Senior UI Developer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• At least 10 years delivering technology solutions, including 8 or more years in web development
• Advanced proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript for production web applications
• At least 8 years of experience with HTML5, CSS, and modern web standards
• Experience with UI testing frameworks and approaches, such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Selenium, spanning unit through end-to-end tests
• Strong experience integrating RESTful web services and building scalable client-side integrations
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and functional programming concepts
• At least 5 years of experience with build pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins or similar
• Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI tools for software engineering workflows, with sound validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and technical recommendations, escalate concerns when uncertain, and follow security and data-handling requirements
• Preferred: Experience customizing CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and using preprocessors such as Sass or Less
• Preferred: Experience with GraphQL services and front-end integration patterns
• Preferred: Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
• Preferred: Experience with containerization and cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS
• Preferred: Experience implementing Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Delivery for web platforms

• Lead delivery across the team by coordinating engineers and driving execution in an agile environment to meet quality and schedule goals
• Design, build, and maintain responsive, accessible, high-performance interfaces using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Set and uphold software development life cycle practices for code quality, testing, and release readiness
• Develop and optimize Single Page Applications, focusing on performance, user experience, and scalable front-end architecture
• Implement unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies to support product quality and completeness
• Partner with product, design, and engineering colleagues to turn business needs into well-architected technical solutions
• Improve developer workflows by enhancing tools, processes, and build pipelines, such as Jenkins
• Ensure solutions meet architecture standards and risk-management and security expectations
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants to support code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices
• Apply knowledge of the software development toolchain, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation, to improve the benefits of automation
