Our dedicated team includes two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) who work collaboratively to deliver personalized rehabilitation services. We pride ourselves on our patient-centric approach, serving a diverse clientele primarily covered by private health insurance.

Work Environment

The position is an onsite role at our outpatient office, promoting a team-oriented atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged. Our facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic equipment and resources, allowing for effective treatment of various orthopedic conditions. You will work regular hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balance between professional commitments and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation plans that recognize and address the unique goals and needs of each patient.
• Maintain an optimal patient load, generally seeing one individual per hour to provide focused care and attention.
• Evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness and address any barriers to recovery.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques—including manual therapy and exercise prescription—to improve patients' motion and mobility.
• Implement non-surgical alternatives and cost-effective treatments to enhance patient recovery, while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation process to achieve their highest functional capabilities.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes meticulously in our electronic medical records system (EMR), such as WebPT.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by advising patients on strengthening their flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice caters primarily to individuals with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will work closely with each patient, conducting thorough assessments to understand their specific challenges and develop customized treatment strategies that facilitate optimal recovery and function.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong manual therapy skills with a proven track record in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Ability to design and implement effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with diverse rehabilitation technologies and techniques.
• A background in group classes or wellness programming that supports patient empowerment and self-management.

Compensation and Benefits
