Sierra Pacific Ortho Care is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to enhance our multidisciplinary team in New York, NY. Our small, collaborative team consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering a supportive environment where every team member plays a crucial role in patient care.

Work Environment

The position will be situated onsite at our outpatient office in the vibrant city of New York. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Our facility features modern treatment rooms, rehabilitation equipment, and a welcoming atmosphere designed to ease patients into their healing journey. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify each patient's unique goals and care needs in a healthcare setting.
• Effectively manage a patient load, typically seeing approximately one patient per hour, while maintaining the highest standards of care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques to develop and implement individualized care plans aimed at enhancing mobility and functional capabilities.
• Employ cost-effective treatments that prioritize patient outcomes, minimizing reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
• Promote engagement and adherence to treatment by motivating patients to fully invest in their rehabilitation process.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and results.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, ensuring optimal recovery and continuity of service.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to offer innovative interventions that lead to successful patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. These may include patients recovering from surgeries such as joint replacements, sports injuries, fractures, as well as individuals experiencing chronic pain or mobility challenges. A proactive approach in assessing and understanding the specific conditions of each patient will be key to designing effective treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in New York, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to develop individualized exercise regimens tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient environment is highly desirable.
• A background in sports medicine or rehabilitation programs will be beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver evidence-based care in a patient-centered environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
