Work Environment

This role is set in an onsite environment, enabling direct interaction with patients in our dedicated practice setting. You will work alongside a small, collaborative team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our schedule operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while contributing to a supportive team atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical functions and develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to their specific needs.
• Manage a diverse caseload, providing one-on-one treatment sessions to ensure each patient receives unequivocal attention and care.
• Implement advanced treatment techniques to enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and promote healing.
• Focus on preventative care by educating patients on healthy lifestyle choices and creating customized fitness and wellness programs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve cohesive treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and care plans meticulously in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring clarity and efficacy in patient management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily engage with orthopedic patients who are navigating recovery from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our patient demographics encompass a wide age range, from young athletes to older adults seeking to regain functional mobility. Each treatment plan is designed to address the unique challenges faced by these individuals, focusing on rehabilitation and the promotion of physical independence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid New York State license as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record, with no history of disciplinary actions against licensing.
• Proven competence and experience in providing orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR Software to maintain detailed patient records.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing treatment modalities for a variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also excelling in independent clinical practice.

Compensation and Benefits
